Closing The Elizabeth Foundation in Bradford
Since announcing that for financial reasons, The Elizabeth Foundation in Bradford will close on 10 July 2009, we have received many messages of support and thanks from families and other well-wishers. Here are just a few of them, which we would like to share with you to acknowledge publicly our thanks and admiration for our wonderful teachers and nursery staff:
The Elizabeth Foundation as a whole, which includes all your family and Margaret especially, have helped not just Rebecca, but all our family tremendously for eight years. Margaret has gone beyond the call of duty many times. Actually, there are no words to describe the support you have given us. At times, this has been our lifeline and I will be forever grateful
The staff there are amazing and he has gained so much from being in such a wonderful environment.
I am absolutely gutted, not only for the staff, but also,the thought that there will be no support for the deaf children in the area, like I received when (my child) was little, is such a shame.
Margaret is an excellent teacher and I have continued what she has taught and advised me at home. At first, it felt like I had to think about everything I was doing and how best to play with (my child) using the tools and techniques that I have been shown but now it has become normal and instinctive. I know none of this would have been possible without Margaret and The Elizabeth Foundation and every day I am grateful that we found one another.
