Dillon was born on 26 August 2003. The next day his hearing was tested. He failed and I was told it was probably mucus. After 4 weeks of testing I was told Dillon was profoundly deaf in both ears. It was a massive shock and I struggled to deal with the news. Dillon began wearing hearing aids at 5 weeks.

At 12 weeks Dillon and I found The Elizabeth Foundation. It was a wonderful day, one I won't forget. That was three years ago. Dillon now wears a Cochlear Implant and is making good progress.

The Elizabeth Foundation, it's staff, parents and the children have helped Dillon and I enormously.

The Elizabeth Foundation helped me when I really needed somebody and they will always have a special place in my heart.
