The Elizabeth Foundation believes that to fully support all deaf children, working in
partnership and in parallel with the many professionals involved with every deaf child
is paramount. We strive to support:
- Teachers of the Deaf
- Audiologists
- Educational Psychologists
- Pediatricians
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Health Visitors
- GPs
We are a founder member of Now We’re Talking, a consortium of organizations
communicating with informing professionals and policy makers about the principles
of choice for deaf children which provides a forum for focused campaigns on specific
issues. The Elizabeth Foundation is represented by Now We’re Talking at a number of
forthcoming events.
Professionals visit, by appointment, from many local health and education authorities
to not only find out about The Elizabeth Foundation and our services but to discuss relevant
issues regarding early diagnosis, early support and early intervention for newly diagnosed babies.
Local colleges, universities and local health authorities send students to us for anything
from half a day to two weeks to come and learn about our services.
A complete bound copy of the The Elizabeth Foundation’s Home Learning Programme is available to purchase by
professionals for their local use and adaptation.
