Imogen Manuel
Trustee

Imogen – one of our previous pupils – joined our Board of Trustees in 2017.

Imogen’s video message

“I support the main ethos of the charity because it’s a place I hold very close to my heart having been a past student here.”

Imogen’s background and experience

Imogen attended the Elizabeth Foundation as a pupil in the early 1990s before moving onto mainstream school, college and then university to study a Joint Honours degree in Law and Criminology. Imogen is now a qualified solicitor at the Owen Kenny Partnership Ltd in Chichester.

She has run the Great South Run three times, swam a mile and jumped out of a plane with the purpose of raising much needed funds for The Elizabeth Foundation as well giving expert advice and support to our senior management team.

Imogen credits The Elizabeth Foundation for helping her gain confidence, listening and language skills as a deaf child herself .

Imogen and her family came to The Elizabeth Foundation when she was diagnosed as profoundly deaf – you can read more about Imogen’s story in her own words here.

We believe that Imogen is a shining example of just what incredible achievements our deaf children can go on to achieve and are extremely proud to have her on our Board.
