The Elizabeth Foundation Impact Report 2019-20

The Elizabeth Foundation has published its latest Impact Report 2019-20 to celebrate and showcase the effect of its work on the lives of young deaf children and their families.

2019-20: continuing to meet the needs of deaf children and their families during a pandemic

The Impact Report 2019-20 covers our activities during the school year from August 2019 to July 2020.

There is no denying that this period has been more challenging than we anticipated, having to maintain the support the provide for families in the midst of a pandemic. But we prefer to focus on the positives, and the Impact Report 2019-20 is full of stories that reflect the difference the charity continues to make to the lives of deaf children and their families.

We responded to the national lockdown that started in March 2020 by enabling free access to our unique online Let’s Listen and Talk programme so hundreds of families across the UK could continue to receive some support, information and advice at a time when most statutory face-to-face services had ceased. When restrictions were listed, we then carefully restarted our Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rated early years educational services for deaf babies, toddlers and preschoolers, with a wide range of coronavirus prevention measures in place.
